Let's begin:

All layers but mask layer use drop shadow with these settings:

V:1, H:0, O:100, Blur: 2.00, Color Black

Open new image 600x600

Background transparent checked.

Flood fill with ##9b6924

Open WCL Mask 65

Back on your image click layers, new mask layer, from image, source illuminace checked.

Click ok

Layers, merge, merge group.

Open PHF SST30 resize 50% copy and paste as new layer, image, mirror.

Open tube, resize if necessary, copy and paste as new layer, drag under the previous layer and erase

any parts outside the previous layer. On the layers pallet,n change the mode to soft light.

Open SST25 resize 10% copy and paste on the right side of previous layer.

Open SST13, resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer.

Open your tube, resize if necessary, copy and paste as new layer to the left.

Open SST16, resize 30%, copy and paste at the bottom of the tube layer.

Open SST15, resize 20%, copy and paste as new layer over the previous layer.

Open SST24, resize 10%, copy and paste left side.

Open SST22, resize 20%, copy and paste as new layer on the right. Using the pick tool, change the

mode to perspective and stretch out to your liking.

Open SST19, resize 10%, copy and paste as new layer on the right over the previous layer.

Open SST4, resize 5%, copy and paste on the right and left sides.

Open SST9, resize 10%, copy and paste lower right side.

Layers, merge, merge visible.

Add credits, and name.

Open new image 600x600 check background transparent

Open ACC IB FRAME resize 80% copy and paste as new layer

Click inside frame with magic wand tool. Selections, modify, epxand 3.

Open ACC IB PAPER 1 copy and paste as new layer, selections,invert, then hit the delete

key on the keyboard. Selections, select none. Drag this under the frame layer.

Open your tube, resize if necessary and paste on the frame, erase any parts overlapping.

Open ACC IB RAINBOW, copy and paste to the right of the frame, erase any part showing on the top left of the frame, so it looks like it dissapers behind the frame.

Open ACC IB CLOVER FLORA resize 80% copy and paste as new layer near the bottom

Open ACC IB CLOVER FLORA again and resize 40%, copy and paste about 6 in random places on the outer sides on the canvas,

Open ACC IB LEPRECHAUN HOUSE copy and paste to the right side. The clovers you placed in previous step should be showing slightly around the brick road, if not click on that layer and using the move tool pull them out to the sides.

Open ACC IB HORSESHOE resize 30 copy and paste as new layer, left corner of frame

Open ACC IB FLOwERS left over clovers and corner of brick road

Open ACC IB FLOWER 3 30% copy and paste as new layer left corner of frame in the center of horseshoe

Open ACC IB FLOWER 2 resize 30%,copy and paste to right of horseshoe.

Open ACC IB CLOVER FLORA again and resize 30%, copy and paste in the middle of the brick road.

Open ACC IB LEPRECHAUN resize 30%, copy and paste over clovers on the brick road

Open ACC IB RAFIA BOW resize 40% copy and paste right corner of freame

Open ACC IB STRING DOODLE, resize 30%, copy and paste left corner of frame.

Merge all layers, add your credits and save.

Using magic wand, click inside of frame, go to selections, modify, expand 5

Drag this under the frame layer.

Open tube of choice, resize if necessary, copy and paste as new layer, erase any parts you do not want to show.

goto image, flip, place at bottom slightly to the left.

Open a new image 600x600 transparent background checked.

(OPTIONAL add a white layer to see better, select the flood fill , select white in the color pallet and click on image it will fill automatically)

Open KSP_VenetianRomance_EE2(9)10% copy and paste as new layer to the left.

Using the pick tool, change the mode to perspective and pull from the corner o your liking.

Open KSP_VenetianRomance_EE2 (10) resize 25%, copy and paste in center as new layer

Using magic wand, click inside of frame, go to selections, modify, expand 5

Open KSP_VenetianRomance_PP1 resize 13%, copy and paste as new layer, go to selections, invert, hit the delete key on your keyboard.

Drag this under the frame layer.

Open tube of choice, resize if necessary, copy and paste as new layer to your liking.

Open KSP_VenetianRomance_EE1 (3) resize 15%, copy and paste as new layer on the right side, over the feather.

Open KSP_VenetianRomance_EE1 (7) resize 10%, copy and paste as new layer on the right side, overlap the red flower slightly.
Delete the white layer now if you do not wish to keep it.

Layers, new raster layer, using your text add the artist copyright info and save!

drag this under the frame layer.

Open DBS_hearts 1 resize 10, copy and paste to left of frame,

layers duplicate, mirror drag upward a little bit to your liking

Open DBS_heart baloons 2 resize 10%, copy and paste as new layer free rotate slightly to the right

Open DBS_heart balloons 1 resize 10% copy and paste as new layer on the left side of the frame

Open and resize your tube if necessary, copy and paste as new layer to the left of the frame.

Open DBS_butterfly 1 7% copy and paste to your liking

Just a note

Life is short. It seems like forever when we are living it but in the end it was all to fast.

I have held grudges against people for a long time and realized in the last few days, I should not be that way, even though it hurts my heart. Forgiveness is the key. I am not saying to forget all the things that are done, but learn from them. If your heart is open to the world, it will be beat up and bruised. Family is top of the list for this. They are the ones that truly love you the most and are the ones that hurt you the most because they know where to hit. Just remember if you chose to throw a blow, they are your family, the only one you get.

Sometimes it takes just a moment to realize. I have wasted years harboring angry feelings over something that was said, and now I am letting it go. I do not know if some of my family will feel the same or not, it makes no difference to me. I am letting people back into my life if they chose to come, but will be ever so careful of what I let happen to me.

When I lost my father, it was the worse thing that has ever happen to me. The whole thing is burned into my mind and I think of him and cry every day still. I am just thankful that we were always good to each other and in the end there was no regrets. My husband lost his father yesterday. Now neither of us have a dad. The end. It really sucks. To their children, dads are our heros no matter how old we may be and the loss of them is like no other.

In light of my father in law passing unexpectedly Sunday 1/15/12, the last few tags will not have tutorials written for them. Thank you for your understanding and compassion.

May you rest easy Ray.

Open WP_YHB_ saddle resize 40%, copy and paste on top of the wheel.

Open WP_YHB_horseshoes, resize 30% copy and paste under the saddle.

Open your tube, resize if necessary and paste in center or to your liking.

Add drop shadows if you chose I did not use any on this tag.

Layers, merge, merge visible.

Add a new raster layer and add your credits and save.

Then add your name and you're done!

Open icy beige flower, resize 5%, copy and paste as new layer on the ribbons where they

come together.

Open icy beige swirl3,resize 10%, copy and paste as new layer on the right corner of the

dark brown note.

Open icy beige clip, resize 15%, copy and paste on the top corner of the dark brown note

using the pick tool rotate slightly to the right.

Open icy beige leaves3, resize 15%, copy and paste lower left, using the pick tool rotate it

slightly to the left. Copy again and paste as new layer lower on the left, using the pick tool

rotate it to the left more than the last one.

Open icy beige flower, resize 20%, copy and paste as new layer over the leaves.

Apply drop shadows to all layers except the icy beige deco2.

My settings aerr V 1, H 0, O 100, B 2.00 Color Black.

I am using the fantastic art of Olivia. She has left CDO and I am unsure where to purchase her tubes.

This tutorial was written on 12/4/11 by myself, for this blog, Desert's Place.

Any likeness to any other tag or tut are purely coincidental.

Open a new image, 600x600, transparent background checked.

Open element 40, resize 15% Copy and paste as new layer.

Click inside of frame with magic wand, selections modify, expand 3, click ok

Keeping that selected, go to layers, add new raster layer

Click on foreground color in the materials pallet and select a color from frame or tube (I used black)

Click on background color in the materials pallet snd select a different color form frame or tube. (I used red)

Click on the color box again in the materials pallet and select the gradient tab with these settings

angle 45 repeats2 , style is the first choice, click ok

Using the flood fill tool, fill in this selection then go to selections, select none

drag this layer under the frame layer. Selections Select none.

Drag gradient layer under frame.

Open your tube (resize if necessary) copy and paste as new layer. Arrange the tube to your liking

on the right side. Drag under the frame layer. Erase any parts hanging over the frame. Lower the opacity 50%

Click back on the frame layer.

Open element60 resize 20 copy and paste above frame layer.

Open element 86, resize 18%. Copy and paste as new layer on the bottom of the frame. V-0, H-0, Opacity 100, Blur 2 color black. Click ok.

Open your tube, resize if necessary, copy and paste as new layer on the left of tag over the feather layer.

Open element 28, resize 20% copy and paste on left side, over the tube layer. I have mine so it looks like it is wrapped

around my tube.

Open element 53, resize 11%, paste as new layer lower left side, use the pick tool to rotate it slightly to the right.

Open element 83, resize 9%. Copy and paste as new layer top right side of frame.

Open element 68, resize 30% copy and paste top right side of frame

Open element 67, resize 20% copy and paste top right side of frame covering the handle of element 68 layer.

Open element 55 resize 10%, copy and paste as new layer, lower right side bottom of frame. Go to adjust, hue saturation, colorize

my settings are Hue 0, saturation 233. I used the pick tool and pulled it out on the right side slightly.

Open element 5, resize 12%. Copy and paste as new layer.

Open element 50, resize 15%. Copy and paste on right side, so it looks like it is setting on the flower petals.

Open element 17 resize 15%. Copy and paste on lower left side.

Open element 16, resize 10%, copy and paste on lower left side over the heart layer.

Go to layers, merge, merge visible and save.Add your credits and you are finished.

Open new image 600x600 transperent background checked

Open ACC_Blue Beads copy and paste as new layer

Open ACC_Berries resize 90% copy and paste as new layer on right side

Open ACC_Frame 2 copy and paste as new layer in the center

Using the magic wand tool, click inside the frame, go to selections, modify, expand 3

Open ACC_Paper 4 copy and paste as new layer, go to selections, invert and hit delete

on the keyboard, drag this layer under the frame layer. Selections select none.

Open your tube, resize if needed copy and paste as new layer. Chose how you want it to be.

Now adding the decorations

Click on the frame layer

Open ACC_Ribbon 1 copy and paste as new layer place on the lower part of the frame

Open ACC_Ribbon 2 copy and paste as new layer just over Ribbon 1

Open ACC_Blue Star bow resize 40% copy and paste as new layer top center of frame

Open ACC_Stocking resize 60% copy and paste as new layer lower right side over the ribbons ( I used the pick tool,

mode setting perspective and pulled it out a little bit to make it look flat)

Open ACC_Calendar resize 50% copy and paste as new layer middle left side of frame

Open ACC_Blue Candle 2 resize 40% copy and paste lower left corner

Open ACC_Blue Candle resize 20% copy and paste lower left corner over lapping the other candle

Open ACC_Silver heart resize 20% copy and paste as new layer on the green under the ribbons.

Feel free to use a mask layer and drop shadows at your choice.

Add your credits, then layers, merge visible and save.

Open new image 600x600 transparent background checked

Open TP_Paper07 copy and paste as new layer

Open WCL Mask 64 click back paper layer of new image.

Goto layers, new mask layer, from image. Use the drop down to find WCL Mask 64, Source luminance checked.

Apply. Click on layers, merge group.

Open TP_CameoFrame 02 resize 40% copy and paste as new layer.

Using the magic wand, click inside of the frame, goto selections, modify, expand 2 and apply

Open TP_Paper 07 resize 40% copy and paste as new layer, click on the paper layer and move it slightly to the right

selections, invert and hit the delete key on the keyboard. Select none.

Drag this paper layer down under the frame. With the paper layer still selected,

goto Effects, plugins, VM Natural,Sparkle with these settings: Max size 22, Red 255, Green 255, Blue 255

Rnd Color on/off 255, random seed 142 click ok.

Copy and paste your tube as new layer, position in the frame where you like it.

Open TP_Statue04 and resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer on the right side of frame.

Open TP_Flower06, resize 20% copy and paste as new layer at bottom of statue.

Open TP_Feather03, resize 30%,copy and paste as new layer over the blue flower.

Add the sparkle effects again using the same procedure

and settings listed above

Open TP_Flower04, resize 10%, copy and paste as new layer over the feather.

Add the sparkle effects again using the same procedure and settings as above.

Layers, new raster layer. Add any text you wish.

I added mine with Passions Conflict Rob, and PC Rebecca Brush.

Layers, merge visible. Add your credits and save.

Alien Skin EyeCandy 5 Impact Gradient Glow (Optional)

Font I used is Passions ConflictROB

Let's Start

Open new image 600x600 transparent box checked

Open TP_SteamPunkChristmas Deco_6 resize 50%, image rotate right place in center and to the right.

Layers, duplicate,image, mirror, image and flip.

Open TP_bronze gear04 resize 75%

With the magic wand click inside the gear layer, goto selections, modify, expand 3 ok.

Open paper_09 copy and paste as new layer,selections, invert and hit the delete key. Pull that layer under the gear layer.

With the paper layer still active (or click on it) , go to effects, plugins, xero, fritillary with these settings

granularity 5, aggression, 36, tesselaton 10 variation 18 or you can hit random at the bottom and chose what you like.

Click back on the gear layer

open TP_Steampunk Christmas bow 4 resize 50% copy and place as new layer in the middle left side of gear

Open TP_Steampunk Christmas Lantern01 resize 20% copy and paste as new layer middle right side on gear

Open TP_ Clock 06 resize 50% copy and paste as new layer. Place top middle of gear

Open TP_Tag 04 resize 20%, image, free rotate check left, 45 free check

Open TP_Holly 04 resize 20% copy and paste near the bottom of the TP_Tag04.

Open your tube andcopy on the paper layer of the frame and paste your tube as new layer, to resize, use the pick tool.

Now this next part I may lose you on because I am unsure of how to explain it but I will try. If you have an easier way to do this

that is fine :) Whichever you feel better with

Click on the tube layer, then layers, duplicate. Drag this layer down under the frame layer and close it off. Click on the original tube layer and

erase any parts of it that may be sticking out where you dont want them to (like the wings were on my tube at the top) ( I wanted her leg sticking out so

I did not erase that part. Once this is done, click on the closed tube layer and reopen it

erase any parts you do not want, ( I erased the peices that were over the flowers deco but kept the leg again...

It takes a little practice but once you get use to it its easy. (If this doesnt make much sense just place your tube how you

want her to be lol)

Add drop shadow to all layers except the tube and paper layer. My settings are V1 ,H2 ,O67, B 5.00

Layers, merge all visible, if you are happy with it then add your credits and save.

I added a gradient glow to the name which is optional.

Open DBS_candycane 01 and resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer, image mirror place right hand

Open your tube, resize if needed, copy and paste as new layer in center of tag.

Open DBS_Sleigh resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer over tube. Arrange that it looks like she

is laying inside the sleigh.

Open DBS_Candycane 03 resize 25%, copy and paste as new layer on the back end of sleigh

Open DBS_Candy01 resize 20%, copy and paste as new layer at the bottom near the end of the sleigh

Open DBS_Candy03 resize 10%, copy and paste as new layer a little to the right of candy01

Open DBS_Candle01 resize 30% copy and paste as new layer bottom, center of the sleigh.

Open DBS_Train, resize 20% copy and paste as new layer at the bottom left side, slightly over the candies.

Layers merge visible add credits and save. Add a Chrsimas saying with your text.

I added Candee Christmas text using

TheNautiGal font apply and place where you like it. Layers, convert to raster layer,

Effects, Plugins, Alienskin 5 Impact, gradient glow

the settings are as follows

under the basic tab check Oustide glow, check mask selection,

Glow radius 5.00, soften corners 35 Over opacity 100 Distortion amount 23 Distortion lump 55

gradient smoothness 100 all colors at the bottom white. Click ok, layers merge visible. SAVE as original.

Add your names and save as a different name such as candeechristmasDes (this way your original stays an original

and you dont say bad words when you realize you didnt save an original lol.

So to break in this blog right off the bat, I thought I would write my first tutorial.

It is called Vintage Christmas. It is made with a beautiful kit from TootyPup.

So if you are ready, here we go!

I LOVE STEAMPUNK and I enjoyed using this Vintage Christmas kit, with so many beautiful elements that are

very easy to work with.

All dropshadow is V -2, H2, Opacity 29,Blur 2 except on the mask layer I did not use one.

Open new image 600x600 transparent box checked

Copy and paste paper 51 as new layer

layers, new mask layer, from the dropdown chose WSL84, source luminance checked

apply mask, merge group

Open TP_ChristmasWreath 2 and re size 60% copy and paste as new layer in center

Open TP_ChristmasCarol2 and re size 50%, paste and paste as new layer, rotate slightly left using the pick tool.

Open TP_clusterframe2 and re size 30% ,copy and paste as new layer over lower part of christmas carol2 and wreath

Click inside all the frame boxes with magic wand, selections, modify, expand 3

Copy TP_paper 51 and paste as new layer, selections, invert, and hit the delete button,

selections select none, drag paper layer under frame.

Open TP_ChristmasDeco 1and re size 40% ,copy and paste as new layer on right side of carol paper and wreath.

Open TP_SteampunkChristmas bar2 and re size 50%, copy and paste as new layer at top of carol paper rotate slightly left with

pick tool.

Open TP_ChristmasCarol7 and re size 20%, paste as new layer at lower right side over frame, rotate

slightly right with pick tool.

Open TP_ChristmasSteamheart1 and re size 50%, copy and paste as new layer middle right side.

Open TP_Christmasbar1 re size 50% , copy and paste as new layer, place top middle of frame

Add your tube, and credits, layers, merge visible and SAVE
